Awana (Approved workmen are not ashamed) is a local and international ministry designed to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The Awana club is held on Friday nights at Arlington Chinese Church for kids from age 3 to 6th grade.
The club’s activities include reciting scripture verses, singing worship songs, listening to Bible stories, and playing fun games. The clubbers are rewarded for reciting scripture verses throughout the year and completing their handbooks. They are recognized for their efforts at the end of the year at the Awana Awards Ceremony held annually in mid-May.
Awana clubbers excel when their parents are involved with them in learning the curriculum during the week.

Awana Groups
The club is split into three age groups listed below with each group having their own activities:
Cubbies: Ages 3-4
“Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.” *
Sparks: Kindergarten to Grade 2
“Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.” *
T&T (Truth & Training): Grades 3-6
“The T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God’s Word, trains them to follow Him and practice His grace.” *
