The preaching theme of the year 2022 is “Why Church?” Through the Book of Acts
and Ecclesiology, we will learn the meaning of the church that God created, and
how we can worship God, grow in spirit, and share the gospel together.

Announcements

  1. Mission’s Fundraising lunch today. Please join our fundraising lunch at the Fellowship Hall for the Mid-US Short-term Mission’s team.
  2. Book Fair at the Lobby. 10:00am-1:30pm on Aug 21st & 28th. Organized by Ruth Sisters’ Fellowship. Please attend and purchase spiritual books.
  3. Next Saturday (8/27) ACC will hold a welcome party for new college students. We need support from two aspects.
    ➢ Dinner preparation: If you can help with food preparation, please contact your group leaders.
    ➢ Donation: snacks (no canned food), stationery, kitchen/daily necessities, table lamps, small kitchen appliances, water filters, etc. Ninety percent new. Please bring them to Arlington Campus, 4-6pm on Aug 27th. Student co-workers will collect items outside the large kitchen.
  4. OMF is offering a Zoom vision trip to get to know two unreached Muslim people groups in China on Sep 23rd, 6:30pm-9:30pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Pastor Jason jasontsai@accdfw.org The deadline for registration is Sep 10th。
  5. Leeling, one of ACC’s missionaries, will return to Arlington for 9/8-11/9. She needs a car. If you can help, please contact Pastor Jason.

Thanksgiving & Prayer

  1. Pray for Pastor Kai and Kythrine as they arrived in Karlsruhe last Wednesday and started the second phase of their Short-term ministry in Europe. Pray for protection and wisdom as they encourage the believers there to grow closer to Jesus. Pray for Pastor Kai’s service as a speaker in Life Camp.
  2. Pray for the Chinese college students’ ministries, pray for the preparation of UTA and DBU students’ welcome party on Aug 27th.
  3. Pray for the children, youth, collegians, and seminarians who are returning to school in the Fall. Pray for them to grow in knowledge and wisdom, but more importantly in the Lord.
  4. Pray for the upcoming Awana year. Pray for all of the preparation and that God will provide more teachers and helpers to work with the children so they can grow closer to God.
  5. Pray for church members to step into roles as youth ministry sponsors and children’s ministry volunteers.
  6. Pray for the Southlake ministry:
    ➢ Praise the Lord for the growing congregation in Southlake.
    ➢ Pray for Southlake to be a beacon of hope in Christ in Southlake and surrounding cities.
    ➢ Pray for God to help ACC find a suitable location to accommodate the growing church campus.

  7. Pray for those who are ill or recovering: Shumeng, Teacher Brenda.
  8. Continue to pray for Hsiao Lan and David as they continue to receive cancer treatments. Pray for their strength and endurance.
  9. Pray for God’s healing of Raymond W.’s heart artery occlusive and eczema.
