The preaching theme of the year 2022 is “Why Church?” Through the Book of Acts and Ecclesiology, we will learn the meaning of the church that God created, and how we can worship God, grow in spirit, and share the gospel together.

Announcements

1. We welcome Ivy L., Jade D., and Lisa T. joined our service last Sunday.
2. February is ACC Missions month. Different speakers will preach on Missions each week. May the Lord help us to know His heart.
3. Thank God for His protection and guidance, our 1/30/2022 membership meeting voted and approved to hire Pastor Simon Shen to be the Mandarin Pastor, and elected Eva Woo, Shirley Li, Christine Lee, Franky Lee and Willis Chun to be deacons, serving from 4/1/2022 to 3/31/2024. To praise the Lord even more, Pastor Simon Shen has accepted our offer to be our Mandarin Pastor. Pastor Shen plans to start either late June or July 1st.
4. As of February 7, 2022, Lucas started working as a full-time intern at ACC using his OPT.
5. We welcome Sister Mei-Joo to join our church office ministerial team as the new Director of Administration. She will start on Feb 15, 2022.
6. Our Southlake campus will have its Grand Opening on 4/3 and officially open to the public. Please pray for the promotions and preparations. May the Lord use us to share the gospel.

Thanksgiving & Prayer

1. Continue praying for the pandemic. Pray that people will experience God’s mercy through salvation and healing.
2. Pray for healing and quick recovery for those who have tested positive for Omicron.
3. Please pray for our overseas workers’ health and ministries: Leeling, Dorothy, Dean & Penny, Derek & Chantal.
4. Please pray for Southlake campus ministries and needs. May the Lord continue His work there and give us strength.
5. Continue praying for Hilary’s and Jade’s moms’ healing and salvation.
6. Continue praying for full recovery for James T.’s mom and Julie.
7. Pray for God’s healing grace for those who are sick in our midst: Shumeng, Gracy’s father, Jade’s mother, Ruth, Lucy, Ling-ling (Helen’s sister-in-law), Brenda, Johnny, Yu-Chun, and Chantal.
