祈禱主題：基督在萬事上居首位

15 基督是那不能看見之上帝的真像，超越 一切受造之物。
16 因為萬物都是藉著祂創造的，天上的、地上的、有形的、無形的、作王的、統治的、執政的、掌權的，一切都是藉著祂也是為了祂而創造的。
17 祂存在於萬物之前，萬物都靠祂而維繫。
18 祂是教會的頭，教會是祂的身體；祂是源頭，是首先從死裡復活的，這樣祂可以在一切事上居首位。
19 因為上帝樂意讓一切的豐盛住在祂裡面，
20 又藉著祂在十字架上所流的血成就了和平，使天地萬物藉著祂與上帝和好。

WEDNESDAY 3/3/21 Prayer Focus: Christ is first in everything

15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.
19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Read/Meditate the Scripture: Colossians 1:15-20 NLT

  • Among all the descriptions of Christ, which ones impress you the most?
  • “So he is first in everything” – Is He first in everything of your life? Name the areas where He is not first.

Pray

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about the areas where Christ needs to be first and guide you in taking actions so that he is first.
  • Pray for ACC (the whole church – every member of the body) to place their sight on “the head of the church” – Christ – by obeying His words: “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NLT
  • Thank the LORD for the cleansing of your sins by “Christ’s blood on the cross”. Pray for peace to permeate your life and the life of our Pastoral Staff as they shepherd the brothers and sisters of ACC with the grace of God.
