Announcement

1. Our roof has been 20 years old and some areas have been leaking even after several attempts to repair it. So Deacon Board has decided to replace the roof at this time of pandemic when we are not using the church much. At the same time, we will replace the five A/C units and one old fire alarm system that kept malfunctioning. Estimate total cost is $350K, which is $190K beyond our maintenance budget for this year. We will have a congregational meeting TODAY to approve using additional $190K from General Fund. Please go to ACC’s website to cast your vote.
2. Virtual Awana Fall 2020 – Spring 2021: Virtual Awana registration has begun. Registration and payment is online only. Only registered families will receive the Zoom link and password. Please register through the ACC website or the email sent out by Pastor Francisco. Please read the information carefully: https://www.accdfw.org/2020/08/23/virtual-awana-20-21-online-registration/
3. ACC Kids Virtual Sunday School: Grade 1-6: Virtual Children’s Sunday School begins at 11:00 AM. Only Grades 1-6 will meet virtually. There will be no virtual Sunday school classes for Kindergarten and under. Last Sunday is also Promotion Sunday. All Kindergarten kids will be promoted to 1st Grade. Parents will continue to receive weekly emails with resources for Sunday school and Church at Home for those who choose to continue Family Worship on Sundays at home. Registration forms have been emailed to all parents of ACC Kids. Please fill out a form for each of your children to ensure that all contact and allergy information are current. This includes preschoolers and nursery babies. Parents of Grades 1-6 (entering Fall 2020), please fill out and turn in a Registration form so I can send you the Zoom link for Sunday school.
4. Below is our schedule for our 40th anniversary virtual revival retreat (Theme: Living in the Light of Eternity). Please join us to celebrate together.
   • Oct 2 (Friday)— 7:30 p.m: First message from Pastor So “Genuine Love in Times of Trouble”; breakout session.
   • Oct 3 (Saturday) — 10 a.m: Group devotion; breakout session. –afternoon (optional, flexible time): making our 40th anniversary cake. — 7:30 pm Second message from Pastor So “key Characteristics of a Health Church”; breakout session.
   • Oct 4 (Sunday), worship– 10 a.m: Third message from Pastor So ‘Purpose-Driven Life’ & ‘Purpose-Driven Church’”; Birthday cake cutting after the message (please have your birthday cake ready).
5. Please pray for God’s protection for our brothers and sisters in medical field, couple of them are assigned to take care of COVID-19 patients.
6. Pray for brothers and sisters whose job is affected by COVID-19 crisis. Please pray for peace of heart and God’s provision.
7. If you have a need for masks, please contact our pastoral staff or office staff.
8. If you have any kinds of need, please contact our pastoral staff.

10. Condolences: Pastor Kevin’s mother passed away in her sleep last Thursday night. Please pray for comfort for the family.

Thanksgiving & Prayer

1. Pray for social unrest and pandemic in USA and its deteriorating relationship with China. Pray for God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
2. Please continue to pray for expecting mothers: Edith, Joan.
3. Please pray for our overseas workers’ health and ministries: Leeling, Dorothy, Dean, Penny, Derek, Chantal.
4. Pray for God’s healing grace and healing for those who are sick in our midst and pray that they won’t be affected by COVID-19:
